Regional Director Brand and Communication Research

Alison attended the University of Liverpool in the UK, where she obtained a Bachelor degree in Human Geography.

After university, Alison headed to the United States and worked in three different marketing research companies there, for a total of 13 years. The most recent company was Yankelovich Partners, where she worked for 6 years and specialised in major strategic research for global companies such as McDonald’s and Coca-Cola.

After a year of backpacking around the globe for a year, Alison settled down again in Cape Town, South Africa, which has been her home for the past 18 years, joining TNS (Research Surveys) in 1996.

In 1997, Alison set up a continuous tracking department which ultimately grew to 22 employees and could boast many of South Africa’s top blue chip companies as clients.

Since then, Alison’s true passion and expertise has centred around tracking and especially communications tracking and the ultimate impact of activities on a brand’s equity. She is currently Head of Brand & Communication in TNS South Africa and supports three of the four sub-regions within AMME.
